System administrators need specialized tools to do their work, but that doesn't mean that they necessarily want to download a million different programs to do the job. NetInfo is a small app that combines a multitude of essential tools in a single program, saving time, space and effort when it comes to analyzing your internet connection.
Specifically, NetInfo incorporates 15 tools - Local Info, Connections, Ping, Trace, Lookup, Finger, Whois, Daytime, Time, Quote, HTML, Scanner, Services, E-mail, and Web Center. Each is accessed via the tabs at the top of the window, and each window provides a search box for your query and a large area in which to display the results. You can then get further information on the NetInfo results by right-clicking - you'll be able to save the results, terminate processes and send them to other tools for further investigation, among other functions.
Don't worry if you're not familiar with all of the tools NetInfo provides. The program comes with a good help file that explains all the concepts in detail. There's also a good selection of configuration options corresponding to the various admin areas and you can either print or save (as .HTML) the results.
NetInfo isn't snazzy, but it does provide extensive info on your internet connection.
